Supervisor, the Sum of one hundred & fifty Dollars for the Recruiting Service, for which Sum you will give him duplicate Receipts to be accountable for the due application thereof. - This Sum is all that the Sec^y of War thought proper to advance, and recommends that the greatest precaution be used in enlisting Recruits upon Governors Island as the General Character of the laborers working there is such, that if enlisted will not do much Credit to the Service. As you stand ch^d on the Books of this Office with receiving Money, it may be proper for you to send forward your Account & Vouchers properly attested as soon as possible that the Amount may be passed to your Credit.
