Your letter of the 30th Ult a[nd?]
closing your account for Salary from the 1st July to the 30th
1795 inc[lusive] amounting to [undecipherable] I have received, which [undecipherable] you
will receive from Nathaniel Gorham Esqr. Supervisor and for
which you please give him duplicate receipts to be transmitted
to this Office.

The Money you requested should
have been remitted to you before now, but Capt Mitchell, by
whom the Money was to have been sent, having taken sick
and still continues so; and as the Muster and Pay Rolls for
the Month of September have arrived at this Office from West
Point, it is therefore thought proper that an Express should
be sent, who will take the whole of the Money as soon as the
Muster and Pay Rolls are examined, which will be done in
a few days.
