Document 1795She has been deprived of her small stipend in order to pay Mr. Greaton's debts, which has been extremely difficult for her. She asks that Pickering give her some money to relieve her distress.

Wishing to convay a letter, - to Mr Greaton & knowing no way I could with so much safty am addressing a few lines to you - The motive I hope will epologize for the freedom I take - or I likewise wish to inform you that the money they have kept back from me will move them pay the debt Mr Greaton has contracted at the office - it is impossible for me to discribe, Mr Tentress what I experience in being deprived of the small stipend which I with difficulty received for myself and children - God alone knows what I can do without their can be some arrangments made for my [undecipherable] life - I have experienced your goodness in the troble you have all readdy taken in my affairs - hope that your hummanity will still excite you to relise if possible my destress by letting me have some money from the office - by so doing will oblige a destressed female and render her ever gratefull -
