Sir,
I have received your letter of the 1st
Instant enclosing your receipt Roll for the Months of July & Augt
1795; also your pay Roll for September. The Receipt Roll h[as]
been examined, and the Amount thereof will be passed to your
Credit. — You will receive from John Chester Esqr Supervisor M[iddle-
town the S]um of one hundred thirty five Dollars and thirty three Cents, for
the pay of yourself and Men for the Month of September 1795, for
which you will please give him your Rect to be accountable for
the disbursement thereof, agreeably to the enclosed Receipt Roll —
I am Sir &c.

P.S. Four hundred Dollars shall be remitted you for the recruiting
Service by the next Post. —
