Your Letter of the 2d instant apprizing me that nine hundred and sixty eight dollars would be remitted to me by the Treasurer of the United States to be paid to the Engineer Darmonnet at george town was received too late yesterday Evening to be answered by the return of the mail. The money will be sent by the next post to Mr Darmonnet, whose Receipt shall be taken & forwarded as you desire.
