Sir, I have to acknowledge the Rec^t of yours of the 2^d Sept^r last enclosing a Rec^t from Augusta De Grasse for four hundred and fifty two Dollars and fifty Cents, which Sum shall be passed to your Credit accordingly. All Supervisors who are called upon by this department and who are charged on the Books of this office with Monies passing thro' their hands will be allowed a Commission of one P^r Cent on all such Sums. You will therefore be pleased to state your account up to the 30^th Sept^r 1795 and Quarterly or half yearly thereafter, and charge your Commission, which shall be immediately transmitted to you. You will receive herewith the Sum of two hundred & thirty d[undecipherable] to be paid to Augusta De Grasse, temporary Engineer at [undecipherable] Carolina, being for his Compensation from the 1^st July to 30^th 1795, for which Sum you will please to take his duplicate r[undecipherable] and forward one to this Office.
