Sir, The Treasurer will rem[it] you the Sum of 2500 Dollars on account of the Pay of the Maryland Militia called into Service for the Suppression of [the] Insurrection in the Western Counties of the State of Pennsylva[nia] for which Sum you are accountable to Wesley Neville, Pay master of the Militia, and for which you will please Sign Re-ceipts accordingly to be transmitted to this Office. S. the Sum of $6[undecipherable] Dol[lars] which you will please pay Ens. John M.
