⇣D. of War Accountant’s Off[missing] October 5th 1795 George Gale Esqre Supt Baltimore Maryland Sir The Treasurer will send you the sum of 2,500 Dollars on Account of the pay of the Maryland Militia called into service to the Suppression of a Insurrection in the Western Counties of the State of Pennsylvania for which Sum you are accountable to Presley Neville, paymaster of the Militia, and for which you will please sign [re]ceipts accordingly to be transmitted to this Office.
