S. the Sum of 64[undecipherable] Doll[ars] which you will please pay Ens. John M. Thompson at Spri[ng-] field being for his Subsistence from the 1 September 1794. to the 31 May 1795 inclusive for which Sum please take duplic[ate] Receipts, to be forwarded to this Office.
