Description

Acts of hostility committed by Cherokee and Creek Nations against U.S. citizens became more flagrant after Gov. Blount's departure to Philadelphia. Detailed accounts of murders and retaliations. Notification that Smith ordered Gen. Sevier to "repel invaders"and defend citizens of the U.S. Smith learned that general and soldiers have not been paid and requests a review of his orders and actions before Congress.
