Sir, The sum of forty thousand doll[ars] for which you received Warrants at this Office Yesterday you will please to pay to Constant Freeman Esquire Agent to the Department of War in Georgia, to be appropriated by him to the following purposes, viz: The sum of thirty four thousand Dollars on account of the pay of the Georgia Militia, and the sum of six thousand Doll[ars] on account of the pay, Subsistence and Forage of the Troops in Georgia under the Command of Lieut. Col. Gaither, for which sum you will please take the Receipts of said Freeman and transmit them to this Office, on the receipt of them, the amount will be passed to your Credit here. — I am Sir &c.
