Sir,
The sum of forty thousand doll for which you received Warrants at this Office Yesterday you will please to pay to Constant Freeman Esquire Agent to the Department of War in Georgia, to be appropriated by him to the following purposes, viz
The sum of thirty four thousand Dollars on account of the pay of the Georgia Militia, and the sum of six thousand Dollars on account of the Pay, Subsistance and Forage of the Troops in Georgia under the Command of Lieut. Col. Gaither, for which sums you will please take the Receipt of said Freeman and transmit them to this Office, on the receipt of them, the amount will be passed to your Credit here. —

By the Bearer hereof, James Seagrove Esqr you will receive the sum of forty thousand Dollars for the following purposes. Viz:
34,000 on account of the pay of the Georgia Militia
6,000 on account of the Pay, Subsistance and Forage of the Regulars under the Command of Lieut. Col. Henry Gaither in Georgia, for which sums you are accountable and
40,000 will please give him your duplicate Receipts. —
The Accounts of the Georgia Militia are now under Examination and when the amount due them will be ascertained, the Balance (if any) due them will be remitted to you — You will therefore suspend the payment of any part of the thirty four thousand
