Sept. 20, 1795 from Capt. E. Miller William Simmons Esq. Acct. Philadelphia Middletown Sept. 20th1795. Wm. Simmons Esq. Philadelphia Sir I Receivd. your Letter of the 11th Sept. in which was inclosed an Order of John Chester Esq. for two hundred fifty five dollars & Sixty nine Cents for the pay of myself and men at this Randezvous for the months of July, & August 1795. Also a receipt roll comparing with the above Sum, which will be comple at as soon as posable and forwarded to the Office- A Final Sum for the Recruiting Service will be Acceptable To.
