I have to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the Mr Inst. containing a Receipt of Capt Blackburn for three hundred Dollars, which will be passed to the credit of your account on the Books of this Office — I now have to inform you that the Treasurer will remit you the sum of two hundred and eighty six Dollars and ninety four Cents to be paid to Capt James Bruff, for the pay of himself and Recruits, for the months of July and August 1795 for which sum he will receipt to you to be accountable. —
