The Treasurer of the United States will remit you the sum of One Thousand Dollars which you will please to pay to Jacquelin Ambler at Richmond being to reimburse Governor Brook for a like sum advanced to John Chisholm to defray the expenses of transporting Goods for the Chickasaw and Choctaw, and supporting those Indians from Richmond to Knoxville for which sum he the said John Chisholm is accountable and you will please to take Governor Brooks Receipt accordingly. —
