Yours of the 10th Instant with a Pay Role of the Garrisons for the months of August last, and another specifying the arrearages of pay due such men as have arrived at West Point since the 31st July have been duly received, and examined, and the aggregate (deducting two months pay due Capt Thompson, and one monthly Pay due Capt Mitchells: the sum due the former at his own request being transmitted to him at New York; and that of the Latter settled on his personal account at this Office) amounting to two thousand five hundred and eight Dollars and sixteen [undecipherable] transmitted to you through the hands of Nicholas Fish Supervisor at New York to whom you will receipt to be Accountable for its due Application. —
