Your letter of the 3d Inst covering the Muster roll of your men to the 1st Septemr I have Received from which a Pay roll has been made out amounting to the sum of Two hundred twelve dollars and 44 Cents being for your own pay for the month of August, and of your men for July and August which sum you will Receive from Edward Carrington Esqr and for which you will please give him your Receipt to be accountable for the disbursement thereof agreeably the enclosed Receipt Rolls.
As you and the detachment under your Command is ordered to Head Quarters; it is requisite that your Accounts should be finally closed in this Office you will therefore please State your Acct and send on all Vouchers you have in your possession for monies Expended in the Recruiting Serv[ice] with a Statement of all monies received and paid by you that a final settlement may take place—you will please attest to your Accounts. —
