Yours of the 28th of August is just recd wherein you have transmitted me a Recept Roll & Instructions to Pay my Recruits from the Dates of their Inlistments to the 30th of June 1795 & so soon as the money is forwarded to me by Coll Carrington I shall proceed as you have Directed—
I have only to inform you that three of the Men whom you have included in the rect Roll have Deserted some time ago. I shall therefore retain the pay intended for them until I receive you further Instructions & after inclosing you my Muster Rolls from the 1st of August upto the first of this month must beg leave to remain
