West Point August 21st 1795
Sir
The money, amounting to Two Thousand Seven Hundred and Park One Dollars and Eighteen Cents transmitted by you through the hands of the Supervisor of New York, for the pay of this garrison for the month of July last and of a detachment for the months of April, May, June and July 1795 which joined at West Point on the 9th August under the command of Lieutenant Rowan, has been delivered to me by Lieutenant McClallen, who went to New York to receive it, and lodged by the Books of Adminification in the Regimental chest.
The payment of monies those were due to troops as arrears to the 30th June last is nearly compleated. Four men are absent on short furloughs, and I would wish to pay them before I transmit to you the next roll.
I have the honour to be with respect,
Sir
Your very humble Servant
Neh. Freeman
