Sir I have to inform you that Robert Hays has been paid at this Office the Balance of his Account (after deducting 400 Dollars he says he received of you) for his services attending the Indians, and for their Expenses from Knoxville to and at Philadelphia in full to this day and he has now received a Warrant for four hundred and fifty Dollars on Account of their expenses back to Knoxville for which sum he is to account for with you. In consequence of which your account is debited on the Books of this Office.
