Dear Sir, I inclose a letter sent me last March from the Comptrollers Office, coving a Statement of errors in the accounts of the Commissaries who went to Canada in 1793. At the receipt of it Mr. Storer was in this city, & I gave him a copy of the Statement, in expectation that he would communicate the same to you; but I have not heard from him since. You will see that except 3.39³⁹/₁₀₀ dollars all the errors arise in yours and Mr. Storers accounts. I beg you will have the goodness to remit to me or to the Treasury the ninety seven dollars and 38 cents, that the accounts may finally be settled. I was indeed desired to collect the amount of the errors; and it may be more convenient as I am to make the settlements in behalf of the Commissaries.
