thus if I shall be under the necessity of reporting as the law directs I am &c William Simmons D of War Accountants Office August 11^th 1795 Edw^d Carrington Esq^r Sup^r Richmond Sir The Treasurer of the United States will remit you the sum of fifty two Dollars and forty five Cents being the amount of Pay due Jacob Woolwine a Capt [in] Alexander Gibson's Company 4^th Sub-legion from the 1^st Jany to the 2^d July 1793 inclusive which was the day his Services appear'd to have [undecipherable] which sum you are to pay to Capt Alexander Gibson at Staunton, taking his receipt to be accountable for the Payment thereof to the said Jacob Woolwine. I am Sir &c William Simmons D. of War Accountants Office Aug^t 11^th 1795 Capt. Alexan^r Gibson. Staunton Virginia Sir Edward Carrington Sup^r of the Revenue at Richmond will pay you the sum of fifty two Dollars and forty six Cents, being the amount of Pay due Jacob Woolwine a Sergeant of your Company from the 1^st of January to the 2^d July 1793 inclusive of being the expiration of his services agreeable to your Certificate on his account for which sum you will be held Accountable to the said Edward Carrington to be held Accountable for the Payment thereof to the said Jacob Woolwine whose receipt you will forward to this Office.
