The Treasurer of the United States will remit you the sum of four hundred and fifty two Dollars and fifty Cents being for the Pay of Augusta De Grasse temporary Engineer at Charleston from the 1st January to 30th June 1795 inc. which sum you will please to pay to the said Augusta De Grasse taking his receipt for the same.
You are to be allowed One per Cent for Commission on all monies passing through your hands from this Office for which I request you to render your Account to this Office up to the 30th September next, so as that your future Accounts may come in Quarterly or half yearly after said periods as may be most Convenient to yourself.
And the amount of said Commission shall be transmitted to you as you may direct. — I am Sir &c
