Sir Your letter of the 1^st Instant covering your Muster & Pay Rolls I have received and after an Examination, find due thereon Two hundred, thirty one Dollars and fifty one Cents being for your Pay from the 10^th March (the date of your Acceptance,) and of your Men from the dates of their Inlistment to the 31^st of July 1795 inclusive which you will receive from Aaron Dunham Esq^d and for which you are accountable to this Office for the disbursement thereof, agreeably to the enclosed Receipts Roll After you have taken the mens Receipts you will please transmit the Rolls to this Office to exonerate you from this charge You will observe that were a Man makes his Mark it must be Witnessed by some Respectable Character I find that you have enclosed an account Stating the sum of 252 Dollars for Bounty paid your Recruits & for premiums allowed for Inlisting them, and you forward no Vouchers for the same, you will therefore please make out a Recruiting Account and transmit it together with the the Mens Inlistments and Receipts to this Office which will be examined and passed to your Credit accordingly — You have enclosed Sundry Vouchers for Pork Whisky &c supplied your Recruits which I now return you as they cannot be settled in this Office, I therefore think it most advisable for you to State an Account, and transmit it together with the Separate Receipts to the Treasury Department for Settlement — You mention in your letter that you enclose an Account for Stationary which I cannot find — You make a statement of your Subsistence, amounting to 17 ⁷⁵/100 Dollars for which you will please to make deposition that you received no Rations for the periods Charged. — I am Sir Y.C.
