Your letter of the 22d Ultimo enclosing your Recruiting Account and Vouchers; I have received, which has been Examined, and fund you have introduced three charges for Blankets and Shirts amounting to 65 the Dollars which do not come within the Notice of this Office, therefore return them to you and inform you that it will be necessary for you to State an Account Accompanied with the Separate Receipts for the amounts and transmit it to the Treasury Department as that is the proper place for the Settlement of those kind of Accounts — the Balance appearing due you on the Settlement of your Recruiting Contingent Account and for your Subsistence Appears to be 157 the Dollars after correcting Sundry small Errors which were incurred you through the house of Nicholas Fish Esqr late Depy of New York. —
