By the Muster of Captain Vanmerry's Compy William Hull Senr a private in this company is mentioned to have Deserted on the 7th March 1792 — It appears by his Narrative that he was taken Prisoner by the Delaware Indians on the 7th April 1792 and that he remained a prisoner untill the 7th November 1794 at Deu on Oregon, that Timothy Pickering Esqr did advance to him the Sum of ten Dollars to enable him to travel to Philadelphia to recover his Pay, no settlement has as yet been made with him. I am therefore of Opinion that a thereof should be drawn in favor of Timothy Pickering for the Sum of ten Dollars to refund him this Sum advanced to William Hull late a private in Capt this Office on account of his Pay —
