By the Muster of Captain Vanmerry's Compy William Hull Sen^r a private in this company is mentioned to have Deserted on the 7^th March 1792 — It appears by his Narrative that he was taken Prisoner by the Delaware Indians on the 7^th April 1792 and that he remained a prisoner untill the 7^th November 1794 at Deu on Oregon, that Timothy Pickering Esq^r did advance to him the Sum of ten Dollars to enable him to travel to Philadelphia to recover his Pay, no settlement has as yet been made with him. I am therefore of Opinion that a thereof should be drawn in favor of Timothy Pickering for the Sum of ten Dollars to refund him this Sum advanced to William Hull late a private in Capt this Office on account of his Pay — Doll 10.
