Accountants Office July 29, 1795 I Certify that there is due to Timothy Pickering, the Sum of [underline: ten Dollars], being so much paid by him as Non-ex-charges on the 19^th November 1796 to William Hill, a Colonel of Capt Kingsburys Company which Sum has been deducted from Said Bill on the fulfilment of his Account V^r Voucher N^o 360 in the Quarterly Settlement ending in Dec^r 1791. W^m Simmons The Sec^y of War Acct Department of the Accountants office July 29, 1795 By the Muster of Capt Charles's Comp^y it appears that John Camm a private was retained in infamy on the 5^th Jul 1791 and by his Narrative he states to have been taken Prisoner by the Indians at that time, and that he remained a Prisoner with them until the 14^th May 1794. It also appears by a Receipt herewith that on the [undecipherable] 1793 a Non ex charges that Timothy Pickering Esq^r did advance to the said Camm the Sum of ten Dollars to enable him to travel to Philadelphia for the purpose of getting his accounts settled, this was not effected I am therefore notwithstanding of Opinion that as it is probable that there may be pay due to him that there should be a Warrant drawn in favor of Timothy Pickering for the sum of ten Dollars to reimburse him that sum advanced to John Camm and for which he the said John Camm should be held accountable on the books of this Office.
