Middletown July 26^th 1795 Sir I recd yours of the 21^st July 1795. in which which was inclosed a Pay Roll for the recruits at this post. A statement of my Accounts from the 1^st Jan^y to the 30^th June 1795. And a Warrant on John Chester Esq^r. Supervisor of Connecticut, for the Sum of one Hundred and forty Dollars, being the balance of my pay from the 1^st of Jan^y. to the 30^th June 1795 also the further Sum of ninety two Dollars & ninety one Cents, being pay for the recruits at this Randezvous. I inclose you a Receipt Roll of the moneys paid the Recruits at this randezvous. I wish to be informed whether you wish for two Recepts of the same tenor & Date — I am your Humble W^m. Simmons Esq^r.
