Sir The enclosed account was lodged at this Office by M^r Richard Parker claiming a compensation of five Dollars p^r Month for keeping the public Stores at Carlisle from 1^st September 1794 to 1^st August 1795. I wish you by annexing a Certificate on the Account, &c to say whether he is or is not entitled to the Compensation claimed by him. — I am Sir Y^r &c William Simmons Nicholas Fish Esq^r D^r of War Accountants Office New York July 23^d 1795 The Treasurer of the United States will remit you the sum of three hundred and Six Dollars & twenty two Cents, being the amount of the Commissions due you for receiving and paying sundry sums of Money from the Department of War between the 1^st October 1794 and the 1^st July 1795 for which sum you will please to forward your Receipt. — You will please to observe that the sum of one Dollar and thirty two Cents has been deducted from the Amount of Commissions Charged in your Acc^t being the Commissions on the advances made to D^r Lynch and Lawton, as Commissions cannot be allowed on unauthorized advances — I am Sir &c William Simmons
