D. of War Accountants Office July 21^st 1795 Sir The Secretary of War handed me your Muster and Pay Roll, to the 8 of June 1795 which I now take the liberty to Return to you, they being irregular and, incomplete, you will therefore be pleased to refer to the Instructions you received from the War Office, and render your return and accounts accordingly — your men are to be mustered from the dates of their inlistments to the end of the last month and to be attested to by you, from which your Pay Roll is to be formed and their pay charged from the times that they were last paid to, — up to the dates that they were mustered and is also to be signed by you which after examination, and found wright the amount then shall be transmitted to you accordingly. —— I am Sir &c —— William Simmons
