Inst^t I informed you that Edward Carrington would pay you the sum of Eight hundred and eighty one Dollars and too for the like purpose — and I now have to inform you that said Edward Carrington will pay you the sum of One thousand five hundreds and ninety Eight Dollars $too for the disbursements of the Armoury at same place — all of which sums you stand charged with on the Books of this Office — As it is intended that your accounts are in future to be settled at this Office; You are requested to render Quarterly an Account Current and regular Vouchers for disbursements of monies which you have, or may hereafter receive at this Office — regularly stated Shewing the monies received and expended — the first Account to end on the 30^th of September next — As accuracy in all your transactions is highly Necessary, it is expected that no exertions on your part will be wanting to have the same effected. I would beg leave to observe to you that the monies being transmitted for the amount of the Estimate is to be no evidence that the payments will be considered as proper; on a cursory view of the Estimate it appears to me that there are many allowances which may be deem'd exceptionable, and that we shall on examination be obliged to attend strictly to the allowances granted by Law. U. Rivardi at Baltimore the sum of two hundred and fifty Dollars, it being on account of his pay, for which you will take his Receipt to be accountable.
