Yesterday I wrote and informed you of the money being forwarded for the pay of the Troops at West Point together with Receipt bills for the same — but unfortunately the Mails has scarcely been closed before it was discovered that the Receipt bills for the pay of the Garrison up to the 30th May were left behind — I now forward them and hope they will arrive time enough to prevent any apprehensions for their safety
It is my wish that the pay of the whole Garrison at West Point Should commence on the same day (say the 1st July) and a good number have arrived there in the months of June and July who must have pay or arrearages of Pay due to them — It may therefore
