Office of Inspection Fayetteville 14^th July 1795 Sir I have rec'd in two letters from the Treasurer of the United States, of the 24^th & 15^th of May last the Sum of Sixteen Hundred and thirty Six Dollars & Ninety Seven Cents, in Bank Notes of the Bank of the United States — Sixteen Hundred, thirty Six Dollars & Ninety Seven Cents, of which Sum by your letter of the 11^th of May I understand me to be transmitted to Capt. G. J. W. Ree at Wilmington, for the Pay of himself & recruits to the 31^st of [undecipherable] inclusive — And by yours of the 15^th of May I am given to understand that the other Five Hundred Dollars are to be transmitted Engineer at Wilmington both of which Sums Shall be transmitted, and the rect.
