[to you —] Sam Sec of War William Simmons L^t Nehemiah Freeman West Point D. of War Accountants Office July 14^th 1795 Sir Your letter of the 1^st together with Majo Howard's of the 4^th Inst have been duly received — the pay and Muster Rolls of the Garrison to the 31^st May and the 30^th June, — immediate attention has been paid to the objects contemplated in your letter — Nicholas Talcahpist at New York will pay you the sum of two thousand four hundred and sixty five dollars and three Cents for which you will cause him to be accountable for the due application thereof — of this sums one thousand and fifty five dollars and seven cents is for the Pay of the Officers Non Commissioned Officers and Privates who were present at the Garrison of West Point on the 31^st May last agreably to the Muster Rolls transmitted to this Office by Captains Stash, Morris, One thousand four hundred and eighty Dollars and seventy three Cents being for one months pay of the same who were present on the 30^th of June: agreably to the Muster Rolls transmitted by yourself; and twenty eight Dollars and twenty three Cents to be paid to L^t Nathan Cutworth being a balance appearing due to him on account of pay to 31^st May last, after deducting fifty Dollars which he received for the purpose of travelling and one dollar and sixty seven Cents, being the value of the rations drawn by him for part of the month of April, of Michael Gentle at Philadelphia having at a subsequent date drawn his subsistence in full for the months of April and May
