Sir,
Your favour of the 16th instant pr Mr Spring I have received. I enclose you vouchers for contingent expenses At this garrison, with my account of them dated the 30th ultimo— also my acct current to the said date— likewise a receipt from the recruits belonging to the 2d sub legion for their Jan[uary] Feb[ruary] & March pay— my account for salary with a receipt at foot of it to the 30th ultimo, and vouchers for contingent expenses with an account of them from the 1st to the 11th instant.— I have requested the hon. the Secretary of War to forward to me immediately, six thousand dollars for contingent expenses at this garrison.—
