[Received from State Nov. 2 R.P.O. [undecipherable]] Pittsburg 10^th July 1795 Sir Your favour of the 3^rd Instant is received. The Quarter Master General set off for Head Quarters on the 7^th Instant, on board a barge well Manned, & expected to reach Fort Washington in five days; — same day I sent forward on board two Kentucky Boats in Charge of Lieut Sterrett all the Indian Goods, Quarter Masters Stores &c &c. that had them come to hand; amongst those Articles was one large Case containing Stationary which I presume you intended should have been Opened here in order that a supply might be taken out for the Upper Posts, but as there was not time for that purpose previous to the Boat setting off I shipped the Case without opening, I am directed by the Quarter-Master General, to make an immediate application to you [undecipherable: probable reading "for a supply to which I have to request your Attention"] I have not more than half a Ream of Paper on hand, no wafers & but few Quills. — I have enclosed to the Secretary of War a Statement of the Chicasaw Indian Goods & have requested his Instructions respecting them; — please to remind him of it. a part of the Stores that appear to have been delivered by you to Matthias Slough on the 25.^th of May is still somewhere on the way from Philadelphia.
