I am Very anxious to Know What Measure the hon^ble the Secretary at War Will take respecting M^r Van-ingen & My Self. G^al Schuyler has left albany the 7^th instant to Go to Onandoga to treaty With the indians. it is probable that he Will Not return by the time pointed for him & me to Appear, Before the Court, Which Will be the last tuesday of this Month. As I apprehend that you are acquainted With these business, I Would be Much obliged to You, if you Can Spare time, to inform Me, Sir, how You Suppose it Will be Compromised. I Call every Wednesday & Saturday Evening at the Post-office, but My tickets Somehow or another, are always Blane.
