Yesterday Doctor Lawton arrived here & has delivered to me two thousand six hundred & ninety nine dollars of the money you sent by him for me. The remaining 301 dollars he informs me he left at Flushing in his pocket book, which he says he forgot. He assures me a man is to bring his pocket book to him the day after tomorrow, & he will immediately on the receipt of it deliver to me the deficient money.
