Pittsburgh June 30^th 1795 Sir In Consequence of orders from the Secretary of War I put myself under the command of Cap^t Rufsell Bissell at Carlisle and arrived here on the 28^th Ins^t — My Recruiting Ac^t I have Inclosed & Duplicate Receipts — Also the Vouchers and account of the Monies expended for the Service, I know that I am in Arrears as to the money advanced to me for the Recruiting Service, This day there is due me Six Months pay out of which I wish you to deduct what I am in Arrears, and the Ballance then due me I Shall expect to be forwarded to me as soon as Convenient.
