3d The Accounts for monies in 1794 being now adjusted and the amount having been paid into your hands.
You are to proceed therewith to the State of Kentucky without delay— on your arrival there you will take the most effectual measures for the speedy payment of the monies to the Individual Claimants— The Vouchers on which these payments are to be made is as before directed— The Receipt of the Individuals or a Power of Attorney well authenticated and expressing it to be for the use and benefit of the children— The monies due to deceased Soldiers are to be paid on Legal Letters of Administration or duly authenticated Copies thereof which with the Receipt of the Administrator are to accompany your Accounts as Vouchers for your payments.
It being the opinion of the Secretary of War, that all your accounts in Kentucky may be settled on or before the 4th of April next ensuing— it is expected that no exertion will be wanting on your Part to effect the same, and that you will attend at this Office on or before the first of May with all the Vouchers properly arranged, and an Account Current— Stating the monies you received and expended for each charge regular Vouchers are to be produced, and the Balance remaining on your hands as to be refunded to the Treasurers of the United States.
