I detached a Corporal Brown and three men as a Guard to one Keel Boat, which went from this for Fort Hamilton, with public Stores, which Stores are to be sent to Greeneville — the Corp^l. and his party, with a detacht. from that Garrison, are to serve as an Escorte to the public property — Corp^l Brown and two of his party are sent to Join their Comp^y. or Comps — Barth^w. Cunningham, who is one of the Escort, represents his term of Inlistment to have terminated — a Certificate of the Clothing he rec. from one I have sent forward by S^t. Jones — I have rec^d. your Letter of the 20^th Inst. a return agreeable to directions shall be forwarded as soon as possible — Serg^t.
