I received your letter of the 15 Ulto covering duplicate receipt rolls for Pay of your Detachment for six months Pay paid to them; on examination of them, the amount found due you will be passed to your Credit. — I am Sir Yr C — William Simmons —

Your letter of the 12th Inst enclosing Sundry Vouchers for payments made by you, has come safe to hand, which shall be put under examination, as soon as possible, and the amount found due you will be paid as you may direct. Your Account for pay and Forage you will please to State and Qualify thereto, and forward to this Office which will be included in your general Account Current. The pressing business of the Office at present will not enable me to have this amount settled before I hear from you. Therefore you can forward any additional Vouchers which you may have and they will be included in the Account. The Receipts you forwarded for monies to be paid Mr Swans have already been passed to yours Credit — one Mr Swan's receipts which have been in the Office The three hundred Dollars requested by you for the Recruiting service will be forwarded by Thomas Love Paymaster to the
