Pittsburg 19^th June 1795. Sir I have herewith transmitted Receipt Rolls of Captain Howe and Ensign McClearys Detach=ments, agreeable to the enclosed schedule. — The sum of Thirty two Dollars charged in Captain Howes July and Aug^t Rolls for Ensign Semples Pay was retained from Captain Howe, and it was supposed that the remark afterwards made on the Pay rolls would have exonerated him from the charge( as it was not known that M^r Semple had received his pay at the accountants Office, previous to the executing of the Rolls. — The sums forfeited by desertion in his Rolls for June July Aug^t & Septem^r 94 Viz (Sixty Dollars) he has returned to me — also three Dollars the pay due Geo.
