Lieut George Hardy. D. of War Accountants Office
West Point June 19th 1795.
Sir
You will receive from Nicholas Fish Esqr the sum of Fifty two Dollars being for your Pay for January & February 1795 for which sum you will give him Duplicate Receipts to be forwarded to this Office. The reason for your not receiving the money sooner is that your Pay was made up for that period in Capt Blackburn's Roll: and your having left Virginia before Mr Carrington received the money — it was returned here, and your Pay was made up in Capt Beurff's Roll from 1st January to 30th April — but thro' some mistake it appears he paid you but for the months of March & and april. Your pay in future will be made up in the Pay Roll of the Troops at West Point. —
