West Point June 15, 1795
Sir,
I enclose you my account of contingent expenses at this garrison, dated the 1 instant, with its vouchers — vouchers for two soldiers bounty &premium (Joy & Willis) — receipts from the ordnance detachment for their pay to the first of April, and my account current dated the first instant. — I received your favor of the 27 ultimo, of Capt. Bruff, with the four thousand dollars on the 4 instant and gave him receipts for them. The said money is nearly all paid out; time will not allow me to arrange the vouchers. I will forward to you my vouchers & acct. current to the 30th of this month.
I have requested the Secretary of War to forward to me for contingent expenses three thousand dollars. —
I am,
Sir,
Your most obedient
Humble servant,
Geo. Fleming.
