[Copy of letter / Secretary of War / 15 June 1795] Sir Navy yard at New York 15^th June 1795 Enclosed you have a Return of the number of Men employ'd in the Yard the Week past, and the Wages paid to each of them —— Since my last return, have caused the Iron Piggs and Shot to be weighed a return of which is herewith enclosed. About one half of the Piggs are very ill shap'd, Things indeed, and the remainder far from being up to the contract but they may answer the [strikethrough: contract] purpose as it is not so material as to the Ballast being Perfectly accurate, as it is with that of the Shot — and altho' I presume the number returned are such as may be used, yet they are very exceptionable for my part I could wish M^r Flint (the person mentioned in one of my former letters) might be requested to cast a few as a sample of what might be produced from his furnace — I have the pleasure to be S^t S.
