Sir [undecipherable] Letter of the 2^nd Ins^t. enclosing am Invoice of [undecipherable] Stores & that of the 6^th one this moments received. I shall attend to your Instructions respecting the Officers Stores &c The Indian Goods that have already arrived are nearly all sent forward. M^r Anthony Foster has taken charge of all the Chicasaw Goods that have yet arrived, together with sundry Articles furnished at this place. Priestly the waggoner is this moments arrived & says he has left one half his load on the Allegheny Mountains for which he is to return. I have enclosed herewith a Return of Provisions to the 1^st of June. — I am now ap-[undecipherable] Estimate made by Col^o. Butler for the Troops of the upper Posts on which my requisition on the Contractors for Provision was founded was greatly too large, this has been Occasioned by the Troops being unexpectedly ordered down the Ohio, by which means too great a quantity of Provision is now on hand.
