The Treasurer of the United States remitted agreeably to directions to Edward Carrington Supr. The sum of seven hundred and sixty four Dollars & 63/100 the amount found due on your pay Roll for pay of yourself and Company for January and February. Since which I have received a letter from him informing that you had sailed with your Company for West Point previous to his receiving the money in consequence of which he has refunded the same to this Office. The pay of yourself and men therefore will be made up in the Pay Roll by Capt. Staats Morris from 1st January, and the amount will be remitted.
