Inclosed you have a return of the number of Men employed in the yard [strikethrough: in the course] of the [strikethrough: last] Week, as also the Wages paid to each of them.
Permit me here to observe that the Timber received from the South ward is [strikethrough: nearly] droped out and of course we shall, immediately dismiss the greatest part of the Carpenters for want of materials to employ them — Having on hand a considerable quantity of White=Oak Timber we shall continue the Sawyers to cut [strikethrough: them] it up into plank. after which if no more Live Oak comes to hand all business in this yard will be brought [strikethrough: Nearly] to a Stand. — I have the honour to be with very great respect & esteem
