The bearer of this is the Contractor for furnishing the recruits at Trenton — he has been directed to call at the War Office respecting clothing for the artillery recruits under Lieut Tallman — Please to forward agreeably to my note of the 20 of April last, Ten suits for privates, and same number of Knapsacks and Canteens — If there are no hats, the Secy requests that the clothing be sent without them — There are five recruits now at Trenton.
P.S. Please to give orders to your Agent at Trenton to furnish Lieut. Tallman with Tents to cover his men — they have no barracks —
