Sir Your letter to the Secretary of War was handed to me, and in answer thereto have to inform you, that the Reward for apprehending deserters will be paid at this Office, provided the accounts are properly certified by you. The amount of your retained Rations will also be paid here by your procuring a certificate of the Contractor that you drew no Rations during the time therein charged.. and certify that your account is just and true. — I am Sir Yr &c — William Simmons --- Isaac Craig, Esq.
