The bearer hereof Benajah Herbert an express, has charge of the sum of five hundred dollars to be paid to you for the Recruiting service for which sum you are held accountable. and will forward to this Office your duplicate receipts — Recruiting Instructions will be forwarded to you from the War Office — I have to inform you that the money for the Pay of those men of your Company. time of service expiring this year has been Sent to Col. Henley — also for the arrears of Clothing, which will be due to them by your return — There has also a sum been forwarded to him for the pay of your Company up to 30th June inclusive —
